Mechanical Test: High Temperature Uniaxial Test

The following images provide an example of the high temperature uniaxial test.

  • Test allows for determination of yield stress in hoop direction at various strain rates and temperatures
  • Test is used to define yield criterion for forming limit's prediction

Stress-Strain Behaviour of Polymer at Range of Temperatures

All temperatures above 130°C (140°C – 150°C) and strain rates 0.001/sec to 0.01/sec resulted in strains above 300 % in axial direction – very encouraging.
